Cranium Cariboo                                                             sculpting, the makers of Cranium have instead created a game for teaching wee ones a few colors, shapes, numbers, and letters. they may also learn sharing, cooperation, and imaginative play.) The bottom of the box houses the game itself, with three chutes along the top that the balls are dropped into and three rows of flip-up panels that are decorated with various colored objects. Players draw cards, match them to a panel, flip up the panel, and hope there is a ball underneath it. Once all six balls are recovered a treasure chest pops open and gameplay can begin anew.  Can use this game to also teach choices...one of the hardest thing for an autistic child...give them an opinion of 2 ball to choose from again using your choice card from PECS communication system....so you can work on a couple of sentences before you even start the game. "i choose the blue ball" "i want to put in" "i want to put in the blue ball" use your "my turn" PECS communication card to identify who's turn it is......The face cards on the game its self can be changed as the child grows and you wish to teach then new things....it can be replaced with number cards etc easy to make ...just piece of paper....and slip into the groves of each tile.....

Cranium Hullabaloo                                                           Hullabaloo will get the whole family moving. As kids ages four and up bounce, spin, and jump between the colorful pads, they'll learn new shapes, colors, and words. They'll also hone their listening skills --especially when they "freeze" and wait to see if they're a winner at the end. even two-year olds will want to play along. Though younger kids might not "get" everything, they'll still have a great time -- especially dancing to the "funky" music at the beginning and end of each quick-moving round. Though kids can play Hullaballoo among themselves, parents will enjoy the silliness and the exercise!

Also the tile have food, animals prints etc....learning classification....."jump on an animal" "jump on anything you can eat" "jump on a purple tile" etc....a fun way to keeping them active...

ThinkFun Zingo                                                                   In this fast-paced, energetic variant of Bingo, kids get a kick out of pulling the Zinger forward to reveal two mystery tiles, and then try to be the first to call out the tiles that match the images on their cards. The first player to fill his or her card wins by yelling “Zingo.” Two levels of play add zing to the competition.

Again you can use this for classification...."what can you eat" "what can you play with" "what can you wear" "what can you drive"

you can also refer back to my language page on how to help with the "who" "what" "where" "when" questions.

Again using PECS communication system... as each play tile is given to the child. eg using the one pecs sign that means "i want" then place one of the animal tile next to it, so you point to the "i want" pecs card to indicate to the child to say "i want" then point to the animal tile to indicate to the child to then name the animal...tell them if they do not know the animal just make sure they repeart it after you...remember they are visual learners...you will be surprised how fast they will learn the pecs cards once used everyday with them.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? [Board Book]    The gentle rhyming and gorgeous, tissue-paper collage illustrations in this classic picture book make it a dog-eared favorite on many children's bookshelves. On each page, we meet a new animal who nudges us onward to discover which creature will show up next: "Blue Horse, Blue Horse, What do you see? I see a green frog looking at me." One thing readers might not predict, however, is just what kinds of funny characters will make an appearance at the denouement! Children on the verge of reading learn best with plenty of identifiable images and rhythmic repetition.
